Story Crime 4

Time has passed. No dreams, no nothing lately. I’ve been really busy with so many things. And of course… no house.

See, when you think it’s all over, fate has a twisted way of doing things in exactly the opposite way.

So imagine this…

No Ameli. No old villa. No dreams.

After looking for all of this for such a long time and finally giving up… something happened.

As you probably know by now, I like jewellery—especially old jewellery. There is something special about pieces that have lived another life before finding their way into someone else’s hands.

A few days ago, I went with a friend to an antiques fair where all kinds of old beauties were for sale. And imagine how my heart started racing when I found it…

A necklace almost identical to the one from my dream.

The same inscription on it.

I couldn’t believe my eyes.

There it was, the real thing, resting in my hands.

I actually asked my friend to pinch me, just to make sure I wasn’t dreaming.

But no…

There it was.

Real.

Now you can probably imagine the look on my face. To actually hold something that I had only ever seen in a dream…

Could it really mean that at least part of that dream was real?

Is that even possible?

Of course I bought it. There wasn’t even a question.

But now comes the difficult part.

How do I trace it?

I asked the seller where he had gotten it from. He told me it had been bought in bulk at an auction, but he couldn’t tell me exactly where it had originally come from. Maybe he simply didn’t know, or maybe he wasn’t interested in sharing that kind of information.

So now I have a new task ahead of me.

I need to find out where that necklace came from…

Any ideas where I should start?
